SLI at ISTE 2016

Ruth Schoenbach, SLI Co-Director, and Heather Howlett, Project Coordinator for Internet-Based Reading Apprenticeship Improving Science Education (iRAISE) will be presenting this year at the International Society for Technology in Education Conference, June 26-29, in Denver, Colorado. Their session, “Developing Strong Online Communities to Improve High School Science Learning,” will allow attendees to learn about and experience an online professional development course for high school science teachers. The course was designed to help teachers integrate literacy and content instruction in ways that can help all students engage with complex subject area texts and gain deeper understanding of core ideas in science.
