Science Literacy and Equity Discussions

Springtime is conference season. Come hear and talk with some of our literacy experts who develop and improve Reading Apprenticeship!

NARST 2017
Dr. Will Brown, Professional Development Associate with SLI, will be presenting at the National Association for Research in Science Teaching (NARST) Annual Conference, in San Antonio, TX. He will discuss literacy as scientific practice in secondary science classrooms based on work from a 5 year, multi-institutional research and design project that involved secondary science teachers.

AERA 2017
Join our Co-Director, Dr. Cynthia Greenleaf, and her respected colleagues, at the American Educational Research Association (AERA) Annual Meeting in San Antonio, TX. She will present at the AERA Division H Equity and Inclusion Council VP Invitational Session, which will be moderated by our own Sharon Sáez, SLI Partnership Development Director and Chair of the Equity and Inclusion Council, Division H.
