  • Join the national Reading Apprenticeship community and lead professional learning around the country as a consultant for WestEd (upon successful completion of the program)

Who Should Apply

  • Middle or High School classroom teachers, teacher leaders, or instructional coaches who have implemented Reading Apprenticeship in their classroom
  • Prerequisite: having attended at least 3 days of Reading Apprenticeship professional learning

Learning Sequence & Dates

Part 1: Digital Facilitator Institute
Join the online learning community, share your knowledge, expand your understanding of Reading Apprenticeship
Dates: Jun 17–Jul 31, 2019 (~10 hours)

Part 2: In-person Facilitator Institute in Alameda, California
Meet other apprentice facilitators, practice leading Reading Apprenticeship inquiries, gain new insights as a teacher leader
Dates: Aug 8–9, 2019

Part 3: Digital Leading for Literacy
Lead your school team, practice Reading Apprenticeship leadership protocols, contribute to the online learning community
Dates: Sep 8–Dec 15, 2019 (~15 hours)

You must be available for and commit to completing all parts of the learning sequence.
